Casey was the son of Sue (Mary Sue McGalliard) and Hicks (Harold Hicks)Pollard. He was the brother of Susan (m. Carroll Epley); Hicks Jr.; Samuel Lige; Mark; and William Andrew "Andy" Pollard.

Casey loved his horse and his motorcycle. As boys will do, he sneaked out onto the highway on his motorcycle and was killed in a collision with a cement truck. He is sadly missed.
