Services Held For George W. Logan
George Washington Logan of Memphis, retired mechanic, died September 17 at the Cross County Hospital after a 45-day illness. He was 72. Mr. Logan was born in Cross County and moved to Memphis about 40 years ago where he had lived since that time. He was of the Holiness faith. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Jessie Logan; one daughter, Mrs. Miles Rook [sic] of near Vanndale; one son, Ernest Logan of Vanndale; three sisters, Mrs. Bessie Darnell, Mrs. Arthur Sulcer and Mrs. T. L. Reeves, all of Wynne; four grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Funeral services were Saturday afternoon at Kernodle Funeral Chapel by Rev. J.F. Manning of Bay. Burial was in the Logan Cemetery, five miles west of Wynne.
