Butler Eagle Newspaper published August 4, 1969:

Phillip Earl Barrickman, 78, of the Lutheran Old Peoples Home, Zelienople, former of Butler, died at 5 p.m. Saturday at North Hills Passavant Hospital.
Born in Butler Aug. 14, 2890, he was the son of William J. and Sarah Jane Byers Barrickman.
His wife, Florence Dittig Barrickman, died June 26, 1968 (sic).
Mr. Barrickman was a member of Grace Lutheran Church. He was a veteran of World War I, having received the Purple Heart for service in France. He was a member of Disabled American Veterans, and the Veterans of Foreign Wards. /P/ Surviving are a niece, Mrs. Marian Criner of Dolton, Ill., and a number of cousins.
BARRICKMAN--Friends of Phillip Earl Barrickman of the Lutheran Old Peoples Home, Zelienople, formerly of Butler, who died Saturday, Aug. 2, 1969, will be received at the Thompson Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday from the funeral home, with the Rev. J. Samuel Johns, pastor of Grace Lutheran Church, and the Rev. Charles Slaughter, of the Lutheran Old Peoples Home, officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Arrangements by Thompson.
