Obituary:
Ocie Franklin (O. F.) Bailey was born February 8, 1934 in Hammon, Oklahoma to Bessie Ruth "Ole Momma" (Allee) and Ocie Eldred (Big Daddy) Bailey. He passed away May 7, 2008 at Elk City, Oklahoma at the age of 74 years, 2 months and 29 days. He lived in the Hammon area and attended school at Pie Flat until 1943 when the family moved to the Strong City community. He attended school at Strong City and graduated from Cheyenne High School in 1953.

He was married to Billie (Morris) at the Bailey Home in Strong City, Oklahoma on June 1, 1956. They made their home west of Strong City where they owned and operated a Grade A Dairy for 16 years. While on the farm, they raised alfalfa, wheat, cattle and 4 children.

O. F. enjoyed roping, hunting coyotes, buying and selling horses and mules, hunting elk and spending time in Colorado at their cabin.

He was preceded in death by his parents, O.E and Bessie, 1 infant daughter, Toni Diane, and 1 son, Loyal Don. He is survived by his Wife, Billie, of the home; 3 Children, Franklin Lindsey (Lynn) Bailey, and wife, Jan, Strong City, OK, Dusty Chis Bailey and wife, Lamanda, Strong City, OK, Kristy Ann Martin and husband, Scott, Cheyenne, OK; 1 Sister, Veneta Mae Orgain, Strong City, OK; 8 Grandchildren, Ocie Doyal, Shelby, Chris, Brenan, Laremy, Brodie and Annisa, 1 Great Granddaughter; Makayla, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Services were held Saturday May 10, 2008 at 10:00 am at Strong City Baptist Church. Burial followed at Strong City Cemetery under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service.

Memorial may be made to the Strong City Volunteer Fire Department, the Strong City Baptist Church, or the Strong City Cemetery Fund.
