James L. Bell

James L. Bell, 51, 1579 Westview Dr. NE, died at 4:15 p.m. Saturday at Warren General Hospital after an extended illness.

Born May 27, 1907, in Wishaw, Pa., the son of George H. and Jessie Laird Bell, he moved to Warren from Reynoldsville, Pa. 22 years ago.

Mr. Bell was employed as a stocker in the strip department of Republic Steel Corp. for the past 15 years. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and the Elks in Reynoldsville, Pa.

He is survived by his wife, the former Esther Pomroy; three sisters, Mrs. George (Marion) Zarick, Warren, Mrs. Howard (Dorothy) Whitmore, Howland, and Mrs. William (Gladys) Anderson of Cortland, four brothers, Dwight Bell, Warren city fireman, George H. Bell Jr. and Murel, both of Reynoldsville, Pa. and John L. Bell of Champion.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Roberts Memorial Home where friends may call from 7 to 9 tonight. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
