Memorial funeral services were held Wednesday morning, September 13, for Mrs. Waldon Fry at Adaville United Methodist Church, with Rev. Larry Vallery officiating.

Mrs. Fry, the former Pearl McKellar, was born at Elk Point, S.D. September 23, 1896, and passed away Sunday, September 10, at an Alcester, S.D. nursing home. She was a graduate of the University of South Dakota and was a former mathematics instructor in the Akron Public Schools. She married Waldon Fry on July 12, 1923. He died in 1950. She was a member of Vesper Chapter, 61, Order of Eastern Star, at Akron and was a Past Worthy Matron. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.

Survivors include her daughters, Mrs. Vernal Bye, of Westfield, Mrs. Joseph Donnelly, of Concord, Calif. and Miss Maurine Fry, of Tempe, Arizona; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; her sisters, Mrs. Jessie Lillie, of Torrington, Wyoming, and Mrs. Irma Brown, of Long Beach, Calif.; a brother, John, of Sunnyvale, Calif..

A private committal service for Mrs. Fry was held at Logan Park Cemetery in Sioux City Wednesday morning, with Schroder Funeral Home in charge.
