Veatrice Mildred Nelson Andrus, 90, of Idaho Falls, died October 10, 2003, at the home of her son, Douglas Andrus, Jr.
She was born July 29, 1913, in Douglas, Cochise County, Arizona, to Price Williams Nelson and Mary Elizabeth Foster Nelson. She grew up in Douglas, and also attended Brigham Young University.
She married Douglas Milo Andrus October 5, 1936, in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. Upon moving to Idaho Falls, they founded and operated Doug Andrus Coal and Grain, which later became Doug Andrus Distributing. She has lived in Idaho Falls for 67 years. Her husband passed away April 8, 1992.
An active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, she served in the Stake Primary and Stake Young Womens, as a Relief Society teacher and visiting teacher, a Temple officiator, and served four missions. She enjoyed reading, sewing, temple work and music.

She was preceded in death by her husband, a son-in-law Gary K. Orchard, grandsons Brian Andrus and David Lefler, and great grandson Houston Murdoch. Funeral Services held October 15, 2003, at the Ucon Stake Center, 2967 East 105 North, Ucon, Bishop Robert B. Clark officiating.
