Mrs. Ethel M. Copeland Dies in Princeton, N.J.
News was received here yesterday of the death of Mrs. Ethel M. Copeland, formerly a resident of Winnetka, on Saturday at her home in N.J.. Mrs. Copeland was 55 years old. She had been ill for several months. She is survived by her husband Lowell, former assistant secretary of the Sullivan Machinery company; two daughters Mrs. Paul MacClintock, wife of a Princeton University professor, and Ruth L. Copeland; and one son, Townsend Copeland of New York city. Mrs. Copeland was the daughter of Sam Greeley, a surveyor of early Chicago. (Chicago Daily Tribune, October 6, 1931)

In the 1920 U.S. Census, the Cofelands (sic), Lavell (sic), 57, born Maine; Ethel M., 44; Townsend, 19; Elizabeth, 16; and Ruth, 12, all born in Illinois, were living in New Trier, Illinois with Florence Greeley; Katherine Arnold; and Gibbons sisters.

In the 1910 U.S. Census, Lowell Copeland was living in New Trier, Illinois, with Ethel: Townsend: Betty; and Ruth. Living with them were Samuel Greeley; Rose Button of England; and Anna and Alma Larson of Norway.

Living with the Morris Greeley Family in Winnetka, Illinois during the 1900 U.S. Census was brother-in-law Lowell Copeland, 39, born October, 1862, in Maine, parents born Maine; and Ethel, 24, born December 1875 in Illinois, parents born Mass.
