Mrs. Jennie Bergstresser, 70, of 109 South Eleventh Street, Huntingdon, died Friday morning, June 26, 1964 at home. She had been in her usual health.
Mrs. Ned R. Bergstresser of 1011 Mount Vernon Avenue, Huntingdon, discovered her mother-in-law's death at 7 Friday evening. Deputy coroner, Dr. Robert Reiners, said death was due to natural causes.
Mrs. Bergstresser was born on September 7, 1893 in Orbisonia. She was a daughter of Samuel D. and Clara (Lynn) Wilson. On December 3, 1914 in Cumberland, Md., she married Roland G. Bergstresser, who died January 3, 1960.
Surviving are the following children: Ned R. Bergstresser of Huntingdon; Harold W. Bergstresser of Orlando, Fla.; Jack C. Bergstresser of Amarilla, Tex.; A-1C Samuel C. Bergstresser of Lowry Air Force Base, Colo. and Mrs. Ralph (Miriam) Moore of Saxton; a sister, Mrs. Charles (Margaretta) Suders of Mount Union, eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. A brother and two sisters predeceased her.
Mrs. Bergstresser was a member of the Methodist Church of Three Springs and regularly attended the Smithfield Sunday School. Until her marriage she taught school. A lifelong Huntingdon County resident, she had lived in the Huntingdon area for 25 years.
Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, June 29, at 2 p.m. by the Rev. James R. Williams of Three Springs Methodist Church, from Brown's funeral home in Huntingdon. Interment will be made at the Three Springs Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. on Sunday until the time of the services the following day.
