Funeral services were held on Thursday afternoon at 2:30 in the First Baptist Church of Malakoff for Mrs. W.B. Ferguson, 57, who succumbed suddenly Tuesday afternoon after an illness of only a week.
Rev. M.L. Fuller, former pastor of the First Baptist Church of Athens, assisted by Rev. Bill Dickerson, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Malakoff had charge of the last rites for Mrs. Ferguson.
The deceased, who was born in Malakoff July 5, 1884 and lived there all her life, is survived by six children, Hubert Ferguson of Fort Smith, Arkansas; Mrs. O.A. Price of Montalba; Mrs. R. H. Galloway of Livingston; Mrs. Lucylle Ferguson of Malakoff; Walter G. Ferguson of McChord Field, Washington; James Robert Ferguson of Malakoff. One granddaughter, Doris Ann Ferguson of Chillicothe, Texas, also survives.
Interment was in the Post Oak cemetery near Malakoff with the following as pallbearers: John Jackson, Thomas Matthews Jr., W.E. Phillips, Hubert Rampey, Eustace Thornton and Oscar Phillips.
