Anna Christine Dennis, 82, of Sedalia, passed away Saturday, August 20, 2011, at Fitzgibbon Hospital, Marshall. She was born on May 11, 1929, in Arrow Rock, MO, a daughter of Hugo and Emma (Busse) Eilers.

On July 24, 1948, in Kansas City, she was united in marriage to Robert Dennis, who survives of the home.

She enjoyed sewing and volunteering at Open Door Ministries. Anna was a member of the Katy Park Baptist Church, Sedalia and was a strong prayer warrior.

Besides her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Cathie McMullin and her husband Kevin of Sedalia; one son, Hugo Dennis and his wife Linda of Sedalia; one stepson, Gary Dennis and his wife Diana of Oklahoma; one sister, Catherine Eilers of Marshall; one brother, Elmer Eilers of Arrow Rock; four grandchildren, David, Cale and Pete Dennis and Mark Woolery; five step grandchildren, Al & Mike Dennis, Bryan, Jason and Michael McClain and sixteen great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Jonathan Mack; her daughter, Florence Emmaly and five brothers, Charles, George, Ben, August and Marion Eilers.

Funeral service will be held at 7:00 pm on Thursday, August 25, 2011, at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia, with Pastor Jon Church officiating.

The family will receive friends from 5:30 - 7:00 pm, prior to funeral service.

Burial will be at 10:00 am, Friday, August 26, 2011 in Arrow Rock Cemetery, Arrow Rock, MO.

Memorial contributions may be given to Samaritans Purse in care of the funeral chapel.

Pallbearers will be David, Cale and Pete Dennis, Gary Richardson, Bryan and Jason McClain.

Honorary bearers will be Nannie Richardson, Millie Ashbrook, Linda Holstein, Barb Eyerly, Shirley Marriott, Minnie Jobe, Marty Walkington, Marva Lee Benscoter and Jackie Tolliver.
