James Warren Bradley passed away last night at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ellis Hylton [nee Lena Sevire Bradley], on East K street [in Colton]. He had been living with his wife [nee Sarah Caroline Smith] on a small chicken ranch in East Colton for nearly a year, having been moved to his daughter's home when he became so very ill. He was a native of California, having been born at Napa City 67 years ago. For years he has been living at Ingomar [in Merced county] where he had a position in a store. He is survived by a wife and seven children who are Charles, Frank and Thomas Bradley and Mrs. Ellie Hylton of Colton, Mrs. C[harles] E. Stead [nee Ivy Irene Bradley] and Mrs. Robert Buddinger [nee Alma Dee Bradley] of Los Angeles and J[ames] V[alentine] Bradley of San Jose. Four brothers and four sisters are also living, all of them residing in more northern parts of the sttae [sic].
The funeral services are to be held tomorrow (Tuesday) afternoon, at the Knopsnyder chapel at 2 p.m. with Rev. Pieters, the Baptist pastor, officiating. Interment in Mountain View cemetery, San Bernardino."
