Jannie Ernestine Reeves, 82, of Waco, passed away July 25, 2002, at her residence. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 27. 2002. at Connally Compton Funeral Directors Chapel with the Rev. Ivan Ker officiating and the Rev. Larry Wymore assisting. Interment and committal services will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Trinity Cemetery in Trinidad, Texas. with the Rev. Jim B. Farmer officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday. at the funeral home. Jannie was born Dec. 22. 1919, to Lee and Cloey Speegle Wright in Barry, Texas. Jannie worked for, and retired from, General Tire & Rubber Co. in production. She believed in helping others and tirelessly volunteered for many different associations, one of which was with Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center "Pink Ladies". She was the recipient of many achievement awards that attested to her ongoing efforts. Jannie was also a member of the Regional Faculty for the American Heart Association and for more than 25 years, she taught CPR to many people in McLennan County and surrounding areas as well as being a longtime and active member of Cornerstone Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and a sister. Jannie is survived by her two sisters, Betty J. Ray of Trinidad, Texas, and Jeanne (Brancey) Druppal of Temple; as well as numerous other nieces and nephews whom she loved very much.
