Ms. Augusta Louise Cassels, 99, of 847 Brandy Road, died Wednesday, July 7, 1999, at her residence.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church with Dr. Fred Andrea officiating.
Burial will be in Bethany Cemetery.
Ms. Cassels, a native of Ellenton, had retired as a teacher from the Ellenton school system and Millbrook Elementary School. She was a member of Daughters of the American Revolution, the Colonial Dames and the Old Aiken Garden Club.
She wrote The Unexpected Exodus.
She was a member of First Baptist Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher. She was also the organist for Ellenton Baptist Church.
Survivors include six nephews, Fielding Foreman and Don Cassels, both of Johnston, Blake Boyd Jr., Columbia, and Alan Foreman, Lewis Foreman and Ashley Foreman, all of Aiken; four nieces, Louise Maynard, Belton, Ellen Boyd, Asheville, N.C., and Margaret Foreman and Dorothy Hall, both of Washington, D.C.; and a cousin, Mary Elizabeth Vaughn, Augusta.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 3157, Aiken, SC 29802.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at Shellhouse Funeral Home.
