He was born on November 19th, 1939 in Anderson County, Kentucky, son of the Herbert Ervin Ruble and Dorothy Dean Crask Ruble. Bruce was a farmer and foreman for the Southwestern Tobacco Company, and a former school bus driver for Shelby County Schools. He was a member and Deacon of Mount Vernon Baptist Church where he served as a former sexton for the Church Cemetery. He was also a former member of the Waddy Ruritan Club.
Bruce was survived by his loving wife, Ruby Alice Ruble of Harrisonville, Kentucky; two daughters, Teresa Ulery (and Ricky) of Mount Eden, Kentucky and Kathy Lowery (and Clay) of Clearwater, Kansas; one son, Steve Ruble of Harrisonville, Kentucky; two brothers, Timmy Ruble (and Stephanie) of Waddy, Kentucky and Keith Ruble (and Roxanne) of Shelbyville, Kentucky; three sisters, Ruth Ann Powers of Louisville, Kentucky, Betty Minnehan of Shelbyville, Kentucky, and Gerri Andriot (and Billy) of Bagdad, Kentucky; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends who mourn his passing.
Visitations were held from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Friday, December 2nd, 2011 at the Hall-Taylor Funeral Home.
Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 3rd, 2011 in the Chapel of the Hall-Taylor Funeral Home with Reverend Grant O'dell and Reverend Sean Post officiating.
Interment followed in the Mount Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery in Shelby County, Kentucky.
