Elsie Reed of Blackwell, Missouri was born on January 21, 1931 in Timber, Missouri a daughter of the late, Hazel Elsie (Smotherman) Enloe and William Otis Enloe. Elsie departed this life on February 22, 2009 at the St. Anthony's Medical Center, St. Louis, Missouri having reached the age of 78 years, 1 month and 1 day.

Elsie was united in marriage to James "Jim" Reed on May 25, 1956.

She is survived by her loving husband, Jim Reed of Blackwell, Missouri; two daughters, Carma Labbee of Blackwell, Missouri, Tina Reed and fiancé, Gregory Hahn of Cadet, Missouri; one son, Alan Ray and wife, Linda of Vancover Island, Canada; two brothers, Bill Enloe of Festus, Missouri, Roy Enloe and wife, Rose of Adrian, Missouri; two sisters, Mildred Trost of Ferguson, Missouri, Helen Farley of St. Peters, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Michee Reed and Amie Martin of Blackwell, Missouri, Callee Klingeman and husband, Chris of Coulterville, Illinois, Corree Labbee of Blackwell, Missouri, Tasha Dean and husband, Rocky of Cadet, Missouri, Jillisa Davis of Cadet, Missouri, Patty Ray of Vancouver, Canada, Teah (Reed) Pickett of Cadet, Missouri; five great grandchildren, Michee Jr., Frederick, Kaitlyn, Rocky Jr., Faith Willia; sister-in-law, Maelou Lautner of Mission, Texas; brother-in-law, Bobby Reed and wife, Eva of Harlowton, Montana; also surviving are nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

In addition to her parents, Elsie was preceded in death by an infant brother, Wesley Enloe and brother, Fred Enloe.

Elsie loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed sewing, going to yard sales and auctions. Elsie loved the many gifts of Mother Nature, gardening, fishing, camping and working in her yard. She also enjoyed western movies, playing cards and cooking. Elsie will be very greatly missed by her family and friends.

Visitation was held Tuesday, February 24, 2009 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Wednesday, February 25, 2009 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri. A Funeral Service was held Wednesday, February 25, 2009 at 11:00 AM at the Moore Memorial Chapel, Potosi, Missouri with Reverend John Jones officiating. Serving as pallbearers were: Michee Reed, Corree Labbee, Greg Hahn, Tracy Coleman, Mark Missey, Chris Klingeman and Rocky Dean. Final Prayers and Burial took place at the Caledonia Methodist Cemetery, Caledonia, Missouri. Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
