Charley and Annie were parents of two sons. They were hard working farmers all of their lives in Sunflower and LeFlore counties of Mississippi,later having to retire he made his home in Greenwood. After Annie's death he later remarried and was living with her at the time of his death. Charley was the second of eight children born to Hiram and Minnie Phillips. Others were Wooster born 1892,Ethee V born 1900,Queen D. born 1889,Flo Ella born 1894,Blumie born 1895, two others Ed and Effie (born after 1900 census.)

The tomibstone says born 1900,but the 1900census says born in 1897.
