ARCOLA – Casper H. Nacke, 70 of Arcola, formerly of Effingham, died at 10:27 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 20, 1993, at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center, rural Mattoon.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. John's Catholic Church, Arcola, with burial in Arcola Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Shrader Funeral Home, Arcola; with rosary at 8 p.m. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
Mr. Nacke was born July 11, 1922, in Effingham, the son of Casper C. and Elizabeth (Koester) Nacke. He married Mary Brummer in 1944 in Jasper County.
He was co-owner of Whisnand Hybrid Seed Co., Arcola, until retiring in 1988; a member of St. John's Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus, both of Arcola; and a U.S. Air Force veteran of World War II.
Surviving are his wife; sons, Jim of Charleston, Bill of Filson, Mark and John, both of Arcola; daughters, Connie Ghere of Mattoon, Janet Campbell of Woodstock, GA., Kathy Nacke of Springfield; brothers, Louie and Don, both of Mesa, Ariz.; sisters, Mildred Stumier and Bernadine, Kinkelaar, both of Effingham and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
