Ms Hamilton was raised and educated in Rowland, North Carolina. She worked at the V.A. Hospital in Rocksbury, MA as a dietician. She enjoyed making quilts by hand.
Surviving are a brother, Emanuel Hamilton, of Dorchester, Massachusetts; and two sisters, Mary Hamilton, of Sandersville, Georgia, and Helen Ford, of Sedalia.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
