Alma Elaine Burris of Madisonville, passed away at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 16, at UT Medical Center. She was retired from Monroe County Board of Education, Special Education Dept. She was of the Baptist faith. She was 81.
Preceded in death by: parents, Asa and Arkie Burris; and an infant sister.
Survivors include: aunt-Ruth Leggett of Meridian, Miss.; Several cousins.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Friday, in Biereley-Hale Chapel,with Dr. Lon Shoopman officiating. Interment will be in Haven Hill Memorial Gardens
