He was the son of Wallace and Lizzie McMasters. He was born October 1, 1930, in Dade County, MO.
For 25 years, he was on the Springfield Police Department, where he was a detective. Following his retirement, he was Bailiff in Springfield for Judges John Crow, Jack Applequist, and David Anderson.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Lemore.
He is survived by four daughters, Dayla Rosebrough and her husband, Don, Springfield, Mo., Sherry Roberts and her husband Mike, Brandon, Florida; Trudy Twitty and her husband Jack, and LeAnn McMasters, all of Springfield, MO; and five grandchildren
Graveside services were at 10:30 a.m. Monday, August 11, 1997, in Bona Cemetery, Dade County, Missouri, with Ed Holt officiating under the direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home South.
Visitation was from 4 to 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 10, 1997, in the funeral home.
