Mrs. Nancy Belle (Beaton) Stephens, 76, Lafe, died Sunday Oct. 25, 1970, at the Community Methodist Hospital in Paragould.

She was born Jan. 13, 1894, to the parents of James Wright and Nancy Parilee (Starnes) Beaton. She was a Lifelong resident of Greene County; she was the widow of J.C. Stephens.

Survivors include four sons, James Stephens, Marmaduke, Vernon Stephens, Lafe, Thelbert Stephens, South Bend, Ind. and Eugene Stephens, Flint, Mich; six daughters, Mrs. Iva Jamison , Mrs. Alma White , Mrs Velma Smith, all of Lafe, Mrs. Catherine Gerdes, Jonesboro, Mrs. Wanda Gatewood, St Francis, and Mrs. Loretta Smith, Beech Grove; three brothers, Walter Beaton and Burley Beaton both of Marmaduke, and Wesley Beaton, Gilliam; two sisters, Mrs. Annie House, Malden, MO. and Mrs. Hettie Keller, Rector; 26 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were at the Ramer's Chapel Church with the Revs. T. B. Parmenter and Chester Penny officiating.

Burial was in the Ramer's Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Heath Funeral Home.
