John was stationed in California where he met Mildred. They were married on the 3rd of August 1944 and within a few months Mildred, enlisted in the Women's Army Corp on the 3 of January 1945. After the war ended they moved to Pennsylvania and became the parents of six children - five daughters and one son.
John liked to fish and ride his horse, Thunder, in various parades. He once won first place in a truck rodeo. In 1972 John and Mildred bought Laudy's Concessions and began selling funnel cakes in fairs and carnivals traveling up and down the East coast.
Oliver "John" Laudenslager passed away in December 1984. Mildred died thirteen years later. They had been married for thirty-nine years. John and Mildred have fifteen grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
