My 4th great grandmother, Mahala, is the daughter of Totsu'hwa, Tsalagi' Ugvwiyuhi (Chief Red Bird) a/k/a Aaron Brock and Susannah Caroline (Cherokee Maid) Davis. The authenticity of the photo posted is in question due to the time in which she lived, but I can not delete it as I did not post it. There is a large amount of info about her father and his descendants, but too massive to repeat here. Needless to say, their heritage is historical and something to be proud of, and this memorial was created as a result of my pride in our family that includes a connection to the Native American culture.
