Robert J. Rowe, oldest son of Thomas & Mary (Smare), was born circa 183O in Richmond Co, and (?) died circa 1862. Robert married Oct 5,1854 (Richmond Co, GA) Rebecca C. Hood (born circa 1833/D:?). Family tradition says that both are buried in the Rowe Family Cemetery at Fort Gordon, with Robert possibly being the first burial. This fact is still being researched and has not been proven at this time.
