My Uncle Ralph Lamar Rash was the brother of my Mother Alice Lorena Rash Moseley. The were the children of William Rash and Margaret Bobbitt Rash. My Uncle Ralph, my Father Winford H. Moseley, and my Mother Alice Lorena Rash Moseley were "Charter Members of America's Greatest Generation". Uncle Ralph and my father both fought in the South Pacific in WWII. My father was Navy on the island of Manus throughout the War. My Uncle Ralph always told me that he crawled on his belly across every island in the South Pacific during WWII. He was not kidding either. His Division was the 32d Division known as "The Red Arrow" had more continuous days of combat than any other Division in WWII. He earned two Purple Hearts for his time in the Pacific.
Also while they were gone to War my Mother Alice Lorena "Sue" Moseley ran their Oklahoma Tire and Supply Store by herself. She definitely earned her place in America's Greatest Generation!

I loved to hear he and my Father talk about their experiences in WWII. It got into my blood because I served in the Army for 30 years and 18 days. They both had a great influence on my life and were my heroes. I hope that I have lived up to their expectations.
