FALL DOWN STEPS FATAL TO WOMAN
Mrs. Etta Belle Bliss, 60 years old, died at 11:30 o'clock last night at St. John's hospita 1 as the result of injuries received in a fall at her home, 812 Pennsylvania Avenue Saturday night.
Mrs. Bliss, who was a member of the Assembly of God church, was descending steps in front of her home at 7:30 o'clock that night on h6r, way to church. She stumbled and fell, suffering a broken right arm and broken back. She was paralyzed from the neck down. She had resided in Joplin 40 years.
Surviving are two sons, Charles Ray; of Compton, Calif., and William Ray, at home, a daughter, Mrs. Frankie Earhard, at home; two sisters, Mrs. Emma Zears of Pittsburg, Kan., and Mrs. Effie Neff, at home; four brothers, William , Jim, and Charles Tuggle, all f Neosho and Robert Tuggle of Illinois, and four grand children.
The body was received by the Parker-Hunsaker mortuary. Funeral arrangements will await this arrival of relatives from California.
Coroner R. W. Webster was scheduled to make an investigation this afternoon of the accident
