Bluford Terhune Weaver was born in Cadiz, Ind., on August 26, 1861, and passed away at his home in Belleville on May 16, 1936, at the age of 74 years, 8 months, and 20 days.

In the fall of 1870 he came with his parents to Republic county (sic) and settled on a farm north of Belleville. After leaving the farm the family moved to Concordia. In 1887 Mr. Weaver started in the restaurant business in Belleville and continued until 1930 when he was forced to retire because of poor health.

He was united in marriage to Miss Emma Black on June 29, 1904. Two daughters were born to this union.

Mr. Weaver was a devoted husband and father and loved his home and family much. Altho he has been confined to his home the past year, he was always cheerful and patient and never complained of his misfortune. He had many friends and was well liked by all.

He leaves to mourn his departure, his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Ethel Behrens with whom he made his home, and Mrs. Hazel Anderson of Republic; one grandchild, Shirley Lynn Anderson; one brother, L.M. Weaver of Belleville; and many other relatives and a host of friends.

A loving one from us is gone;
A voice we loved is stilled;
A place is vacant in our home
That never can be filled.

Funeral services were held from the Lahodny funeral home in Belleville on Tuesday afternoon, May 19. The Rev. Jas. G. Roberts conducted the services. The body was laid to rest in the Belleville cemetery (sic).
