CORINTH - Richard L. Roberts, 57, died Friday, Dec. 10, 2004, at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Memphis. He was a retired sergeant in the U.S. Army, serving two tours in Vietnam. He was a Baptist.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Memorial Chapel with Bro. Smiley Mills officiating. Burial will be in Lone Oak Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Naomi Roberts of Corinth; two daughters, Kay Modlin and husband, Neal, of Corinth, and Laurie Gross and husband, Tony, of Memphis; three stepdaughters, Toni Stanfield of Albertsville, Ala., Rita Smith of Excel, Ala., and Renee Sego of Brandonley, Ky.; two brothers, Gerald Roberts and Kathy of Wheeling, W.Va., and Pete Bryant and Linda of Ripley; three sisters, Glenda Sinclair of Memphis, Donna Jameson of Bruton, Ala., and Debbie Maxwell of Earle, Ark.; four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, seven stepgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Clayton and Marguerite McCaig Roberts, and a brother, Donald Roberts.
Pallbearers will be Michael Modlin, Steven Modlin, David Modlin, Neal Modlin, Tony Gross and Rodney Little.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today.
