Graveside services for Richard Whitley, 72, of Lubbock will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the City of Lubbock Cemetery with the Rev. Willie Barber officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of Ossie Curry Funeral Home of Lubbock.

He died Monday, Aug. 6, 2001.

He was born May 7, 1929, in Lubbock, where he attended school and married Patsy Ruth Webb on Sept. 19, 1974. She died June 9, 2001. He was self-employed as a truck driver before his retirement. He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Air Force in 1951 and was a Baptist.

Survivors include a son, Lee of Lubbock; three daughters, Kay Miller of Guthrie, Debbie Whitley of Clovis, N.M., and Pamela Key of Shallowater; a brother, Elmer of Granbury; 19 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
