Died,-In Gonzales, June 15, 1894, Mrs. Helen Oelkers Schleyer, aged 33 years, 2 months, and 15 days. She was a member of the Lutheran church of New Braunfels, Tex., a devoted met her and faithful wife. Her relatives from New Braunfels reached here in time to attend the funeral services, which took place at 6 p.m., at the residence, and at the Odd Fellows Cemetery conducted by Rev. J.A. Montgomery. A large procession of sympathizing friends followed the body to its last resting place, and laid it away until the resurrection, "For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so also them that sleep in Jesus will God bring with Him."
