Mary Jane Fields
Mary Jane Fields, daughter of William and Elizabeth (Noland) Jacoby was born Jan. 19, 1909 in Redding, Kan. and departed this life Jan. 28, 2001 in her home. She was 92 years and nine days of age.
On Aug. 5, 1931, she married Dale Fields and to this union nine children were born. Dale preceded her in death in 1983.
Mary was a homemaker and member of the Methodist Church and had been since 1942. She was a member of the Eastern Star White Shrine, President of AARP, Missionary Westynn Circle Group, Past Matron's Club, and Garden Club of Marshfield.
Preceding her in death were her husband, parents, one son, Dale Conrad Fields, one daughter, Shirley Jean Burtner; one brother, Floyd Jacoby; and three sisters, Wilma Jacoby, Cloe Zuelke and Margaret Hampe.
Survivors include four daughters, Sydney Lybecker and her husband, Charles, Gig Harbor, Wash., Sondra Stalter and husband, Robert, Redmond, Wash., Mary Shelmadine, Champaign, Ill,; Norma Stout, Champaigne, Ill.; three sons Ronald Dale Fields, Bastrop, Texas, Claude R. Fields and wife, Lee, Marshall, Robert Eugene Fields, Springfield; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Louise Fields, Fremont, Calif.
Funeral services for Mary J. Fields will be at 2 p.m. Feb. 2, 2001 in Marshfield United Methodist Church, with Rev. Lynn Dyke officiating.
Burial will be in the Marshfield Cemetery under the direction of Day Funeral Home, Marshfield.
Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Feb. 1, 2001 in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Mary's name to the United Methodist Church of Marshfield or Hospice of Southwest Missouri at the funeral home.
