Olie Bruce Ramsey was born in Indian Territory pre statehood Oklahoma to W.S.Ramsey and Jennie Northcutt Ramsey. Prior to his moving away from Oklahoma and a slow migration North Easterly up to Springfield Ill., he married Laura and while employed at a local mine was injured in a fall from a railroad bridge and was transported by train to St. John Hospital in Joplin Mo.
In the records at Miami,Ok. library, it is noted that his parents did not like his "young bride". While he was a patient in St.John Hospital,Joplin,MO. his parents and Laura had and altercation on the front porch of the Hospital that resulted in his parents being removed from the property by and angry crowd of onlookers that helped Laura up and into the hospital to see her husband. Olie began a new carreer in the Dry Cleaning and Tailoring business and co-owned and operated several on his migration to Illinois.
His burial is recorded as Illinois State file # 1991462
