His mother is Nancy Harris. She seems to be a widow in the 1850 census. (at least her husband is not listed) Her age then was 54. Born about 1796. She was with her children Loving, George, Jane, Arthur, and Nancy M. She is living with her daughter Nancy and son-in-law F. A. Replogle in 1880 at age 84.

Mallie (Malvine) and James are children by his 2nd wife Mary E. Brewer. There may also be children Mattie, Joseph A. and John Henry by this marriage. If anyone has further information please let me know.
