Goecker, Louis E - 1620 Cromwell, age 82, died Friday, July 28, 1978, at Hurley Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Monday, July 31, 1978, at Floral Chapel at Dodds-Dumanois Funeral Home, Dr. David E Molyneaux officiating. Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery. Mr Goecker will remain at the funeral home where family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society or Hurley Intensive Care, Mr Goecker was born in Saginaw, MI December 20, 1895 and had lived in Flint the last 60 years. He was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church, the Kiwanis Club, Charles A Durand Lodge 533 F&AM, Washington Chapter 15 R.A.M, a 50 year member of Royal and Select Masons, a Life member of the Genesee Valley Commandery 15 K.T., Bay City Consistory, and had served in both World War I and II, retiring from the Army as a Lt Colonel. Mr Goecker was a Stockbroker in the area for 50 years and had been presently employed as a partner with William C Roney and Co. Surviving are: 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Louis F and Carol A Goecker of Flint and James W and Rexalee W Goecker of Portage; 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Jane and Frank Mauck of Pittsburg, PA, and Barbara and Stan Weber of London, England; 12 grandchildren. Mr Goecker was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie Furman Goecker, August 28, 1968. Daily visitation 8 AM to 10 PM. Arrangements by Dodds-Dumanois Funeral Home, 901 Garland St.
