Mr. Norman Everette Hope, 95, of 39 Hamilton Drive, Clinton, died Thursday at Sampson Regional Medical Center, Clinton, NC.

Mr. Hope, born in Sampson County, was the son of the late, John Thomas and Sarah Jones Hope and the widower of Hazel Lee Bradshaw Hope. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a daughter, Carol Faye Hope, three brothers, Robert Fulton Hope, Percy Hope and Paul Hope, two sisters, Bertha Bonham and Eva Wilson. He was a member of Bethany Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church, former member of the board of deacons, and a veteran of the US Army having served in World War II. He was a retired farmer, a carpenter and former owner and operator of Norman's Grill.

He is survived by a daughter, Debby H. Sanderhoff and husband Mark of Clinton, two sons, Ron Hope and wife Polly of Kinston, NC; Ray Hope of Los Angeles, CA; three grandchildren, Hans Hope, Nicole and Nyles Sanderhoff.

The family recieved frineds 7-9pm, Friday, November 4, 2011 at the Royal-Hall Funeral Home in Clinton and other times at his home.

The funeral services were held at 3pm, Saturday, November 5, 2011 at Bethany Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles Ray Jernigan, the Rev. Tony Moore and the Rev. William Tew officiating.

Burial with military honors was made in the Church Cemetery.
