Soledad M. Cota, passed December 7, 2003 in Sacramento, CA, age 89. Born in Sonora, Mexico, came to San Benito County in 1953 and lived here until 2002. A member of the Teamsters and Warehousemen Local #890 of Salinas. She was a cannery worker for Fairview Packing for 30 years. Preceded in death by husband, Ricardo C. Cota, son-in-law, Richard Reyes, and siblings: Sylvester, Jessie and Frank Martinez, Helen Lopez and Connie Chavez. Survived by children and their spouses: Jess and Linda Cota of Gilroy, Angie and Vern Painter of Hollister, Richard and Ortie Cota of Hollister, Mary Reyes of Sacramento, Hope Ramos of WA, Josie and Ray Ruiz of Sacrameno, Annette Scarlett of Sacramento, Ralph Cota of Salinas, John Cota of Delano and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
