The info for birthday is in question--his month and day are probably the ones he used to celebrate his birth but the year isn't right{1870}--his brother Edward was listed as 1 month old in the 1870 census taken in July.I suspect it was 1871 as in March of 1873 Ellie was born.The last child,Elizabeth,was born Jan. 1874.Just a guess and I could be wrong.We could not find his birth record.Gus married Margaret Duscheid{t} March 1, 1897 in Washington,Pa.This is recorded on the marriage book at Washington Co. Pa. Court House.Book6,pg 355 per clk at Reg of Wills.Gus (as he was known to all) was the father of Walter,Edward,John.Between the 1900 census and the 1910 census Gus and Maggie had two other children(born and died within that ten year span).
