She was born in Yonkers, N.Y., Aug. 6, 1917, the daughter of the late Henry and Hannah Gurian. Mrs. Reese was married for 37 years to the late Dr. Samuel Danzig prior to her marriage to Mr. Reese.
Mrs. Reese was a volunteer at New Milford Hospital for 21 years. She was a member of Temple Sholom.
In her youth, she was an avid horseback rider and trainer. She had a deep affection for animals and nature.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter-in-law, Margaret Danzig; two grandsons, David Danzig and Joshua Danzig and his wife, Giselli Danzig; her step-daughters, M. Fran Reese and Margaret R. Williamson; and her step-grandchildren, Patrick D. Williamson, Meghan E. Williamson and Kathleen M. Williamson; and many loving friends and neighbors.
Her funeral was held at Temple Sholom, with burial at the United Jewish Center Cemetery in Brookfield. The Rabbi Vivian Mayer conducted the service.
The Lillis Funeral Home in New Milford was in charge of the arrangements.
