Services: 2 p.m. today at Steed-Todd Chapel in Clovis.
Mrs. Millie Teeters, 86, of Clovis, a retired bookkeeper/office manager, died Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2003, at her home.
She was born on March 12, 1917, in Claude, Texas, to William and Ellen Cornell Garton.
She came to Clovis in 1938. She married Jim Teeters. She worked as a bookkeeper at a service station and was a bookkeeper/office manager for the Clovis News Journal for 48 years. She loved to bowl, play cards, cook, crochet and knit. She was an avid fan of the Atlanta Braves and Dallas Cowboys and she loved her family most of all. She was a Pink Lady, a member of Central Christian Church, the BPO Does and the Clovis Elks Lodge.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sisters; and two daughters
Survivors include three granddaughters, Gaylinda Long (and husband, Curtis), Brenda Mares (Leo), all of Clovis, and Cheryl Rodriguez of Amarillo; four grandsons, James Croft (Sherry), Ronald Croft, Randy Croft and Donald Croft (Tanya), all of Clovis; and four great-grandchildren.
The family will meet at 616 W. Plains in Clovis.
The Rev. Larry Tedrow will officiate the services.
Burial will be at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens in Clovis.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Lane, Leo, Lazaro and Beto Mares and James, Ronald, Randy and Donald Croft.
Arrangements are by Steed-Todd Funeral Home in Clovis.
