Scottsdale, Ariz. – Memorial Mass for Caroline M. Madden, 91, Scottsdale, and former longtime teacher and resident of Aberdeen, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church. The Rev. Robert Vinslauski will officiate.
She died March 12, 1995, in Scottsdale.
Caroline M. Brandner was born Sept. 12, 1903, to Mathias and Katherine (Schaefbauer) Brandner in Herreid. She was the last surviving member of the family, which included 13 children. She taught at St. Mary's grade school in Aberdeen, and also in Warner and Westpoint. She was also a housekeeper for Monsignor Clarence Trautner in Eden from 1980 to 1986. She moved to Scottsdale in 1986.
Survivors include two daughters, Patricia Noll of Scottsdale, and Suzanne Mattina of Washington, D.C.; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
