Abby Francis Daggett, b. March, 1821 in Seekonk, Massachusetts, daughter of Robert and Mary (Bolton) Daggett. In 1841 she married Henry Olmstead Deming ( b. July 11, 1809 (East Hartford); d. in East Hartford, Nov. 11, 1874). They had one son, Richard Henry Deming, born in 1842. Sometime before 1850 she and Henry separated. In the 1850 Census she and her son Richard were living in Providence, Rhode Island. In 1854 in Providence she married Stephen Thurber (1822 - 1891). They had no known children. Abby's will left her estate to her son and his three children. She died May 21, 1887 in Providence, Rhode Island and is buried in the Swan Point Cemetery in Providence.
