W. H. "Billy" Kirkland had made his home in Huntington for the past 40 years. He came to Huntington from his native county of Shelby. Member of Masonic Lodge and Eastern Star in Huntington and Member of the Baptist church.

Survivors include his wife and five daughters; Mrs. T. M. Million, Mrs. Pat Harville and Mrs. Ollie Harville, Mrs. Boyce Stiinits(?) and Mrs. Lydia Kirkland; five sons, Bob. Jack, Ed, Clyde and Charles Kirkland; sister, Mrs. I. O. Riley.

Funeral services were to be held with Masonic ceremony at 2 o'clock at the Baptist Church in Huntington with Rev. J. A. Aldredge of Clawson officiating. Interment at Huntington Cemetery.
