Jane R. Dixon BELLEVILLE - Jane R. Dixon, 84, of RD2 Huntingdon, died at 9:38 a.m. Friday, Nov. 9, 2001, at Valley View Haven, Belleville. Born June 20, 1917, in Aliquippa, she was the daughter of the late John and Hazel (Hall) Peoples. Her husband, Wilbur F. Dixon, whom she married on March 14, 1936, preceded her in death on Dec. 2, 1999. Surviving are: two daughters, Wanda Wagner and Mrs. Fred (Carol Sue) Peck, both of RD2 Huntingdon; two sons, John W. Dixon, RD2 Huntingdon and Dale A. Dixon, RD3 Huntingdon; a grandson whom she raised, Brett F. Dixon of RD2 Huntingdon; eight grand-children and seven great-grandchildren; five sisters, Gertrude Gibboney, Ennisville, June Rudy, RD Petersburg, Phylis Dixon, RD2 Huntingdon, Henrietta Hawn, RD2 Huntingdon and Helen Wilson of North Carolina; and a brother, Paul Peoples, Huntingdon. She was also preceded in death by a son, Wilbur M. Dixon; a sister, Emma Christensen; and two brothers, Kenneth and John Peoples. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the White Presbyterian Church, McAlevys Fort, and an avid Penn State fan. Her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Donald E. Baggus Funeral Home, Belleville, with Lay Minister Daniel Morris officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will be in Greenlee Cemetery, McAlevys Fort.
