On last Saturday night, about 10 o'clock p.m. Mrs. Babette Kleine, the wife of our fellow townsman A. Klein, departed this life. She had been suffering for months with that fell disease consumption. She spent the summer in Boerne, and only one week before her death she came back to her home and family. She had four boys, who together with the sister and husband of the deceased, mourn her loss.
Her remains were followed to their last resting place, on Sunday afternoon, by a large concourse of people. The services at the grave were conducted by H. R. Laird, the Presbyterian pastor.
Mrs. Kleine was a sister of Senator Pfeuffer who died on the 15, instant. We tender sympathy to the family.
