F.C. ARMENDARIZ

Rosary for Florentino Chavez Armendariz, 72, 418 N. 5th St., will be said at 7 p.m. tonight in the West Funeral Home chapel. Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of Grace Church, Loving. Burial will follow in Loving Cemetery. The Rev. Florian Tiell, St. Edwards Catholic Church will conduct the services.

Pallbearers will be Armando Armendarez, Alberto Armendarez, Narcisco Armendarez, Nestor Armendarez, Nacho Ruiz and Max Espino.

Armendariz died Sunday in the local hospital.

He was born March 14, 1913, in Barstow, Texas. He moved to the Loving area as a young child. In 1941 he married Sofia Valenzuela in Mexico. They moved to Alpine, Texas, at that time and back to Loving in 1951. He worked for the Pecos Valley Cotton Oil Co. Inc. for 26 years before retiring eight years ago. He was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Loving.

Survivors include his wife, Sofia Armendariz, Loving; one son, Ricardo V. Armendariz, West Germany; one daughter, Connie A. Pina, Loving; four brothers, Julio Armendarez, Loving, Narciso Armendarez, Nestor Armendarez and Guadalupe Armendarez, all of Eunice; two sisters, Fermina A. Murillo, Loving, and Manuela Garcia, La Mula, Chihuahua, Mexico; and three grandchildren.
