She was born September 14, 1914 to Thomas G. and Gladys M. (Ellis) Leonard in Maysville, Missouri. She graduated from Maysville High School.
Vera married Charles I. Morris.
Mrs. Morris worked as a Supervisor for H. D. Lee. She was a member of Hyde Park Foursquare Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; first husband, Milton Nance; brother, Billy; brother-in-law, Cledis Vinson; and grandson, Larry Ray Nance.
Survivors: two sons, Larry Nance (Ruth Ann), St. Joseph and Ronald Nance, Faucett, Missouri; granddaughters, Brenda Burris and son, Elliott and Lisa Menschik and sons, Matthew, Ryan and Aaron; grand-daughter-in-law, Sherry Nance and sons, Ronnie Ray and Shannon; sister, Betty Vinson; step-daughter, Shirley Martin; step-grandsons, Steve, Mike and Tim Dragoo; step-granddaughter, Karen Stewart; and several great-great-great-grandchildren..
Services: 10:00 A.M. Friday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment Oak Lawn Cemetery, Maysville, Missouri. The Family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Thursday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory, where friends may call after 2:00 P.M. Thursday. The Family suggests memorial gifts to the Alzheimer's Association.
