Jesup, Ga. - Mae Hendricks Corbitt, 73 of Jesup, Ga. died Friday, October 31, 2014 in St. Joseph’s Hospital in Savannah, Ga. after a short illness. The Glynn County, Ga. native had lived in Wayne County, Ga. most of her life, was a homemaker, enjoyed flower gardening and fishing. She was predeceased by her husband, B.W. Corbitt; two grandsons, Walker and Ryder Corbitt; a brother, Charles Hendricks; a sister, Nora Lee Raulerson.
Survivors are a daughter, Cecilia and C.G. Dawson of Jesup, Ga.; 3 sons and daughters-in-law, Kelly Corbitt, Barney and Regina Corbitt, Jesse and Morgan Corbitt, all of Jesup, Ga.; 3 sisters, Louise Thrift of Blackshear, Ga., Jacklyn Carter of Jesup, Ga., Connie Anderson of Shellman Bluff, Ga.; 3 brothers, Eddie Hendricks of Waycross, Ga., Adam Hendricks of Brunswick, Ga., Jackie Hendricks of Jesup, Ga. of Jesup, Ga.; 5 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2 P.M. Monday, November 3, 2014 at Rinehart and Sons Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Thrift officiating. Interment will be in the Pinecrest Memorial Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be her family and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Duck Pond Hunting Club.
Visitation will be 4 to 6 P.M. Sunday, November 2, 2014 at the funeral home.
