DOROTHY A. PHILLIPS, 82, Lima, died at 3:47 p.m. Oct. 7, 2001, at Cridersville Nursing Home, Cridersville.

She was born November 9, 1918, in Lima to the late Charles and Sarah Denlinger Hunsaker.

On March 8, 1935, she married John D. Phillips, who died March 18, 1996.

Mrs. Phillips had been a messenger of the area railroads and had worked in several departments stores including Kresge, Madisons and Greggs. She was a member of St. Gerard Catholic Church and its Altar Rosary Society.

She was a member of the Plesantiers Club, Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 370 and the former retired Kresge Employees Group. She served on the board of the Senior Citizens Center during the construction of the new facilities. She enjoyed bowling.

Survivors include two daughters, Linda A. Robinson and Christine (Dan) Fleischman, both of Lima; and three grandchildren, Sheila Kay Robinson, Anthony Fleischman and Jason Fleischman.

She was preceded in death by four brothers, John Wesley, Robert, Homer and Walter Hunsaker; a sister, Mary Osborne; and a grandson, J.K. Robinson.

Services will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home.

Burial will be in Gethsemani Cemetery.
