Patrick Henry Brandon, 88 of Hinton died Thursday March 13, 2008 in Summers County A.R.H. Hospital following a long illness.

Born October 2, 1919 at Thayer, WV he was the son of the late Daniel B. & Annie E. Jones Brandon.

Mr. Brandon was a retired machinist & electrician for the Power Line Construction industry for 30 years. He was a United States Army veteran of World War II, having served in the Pacific Theatre. He attended Riverview Chapel in Hinton and was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Bill & Robert Brandon. Four sisters, Annabell Albert, Lorene Smith, Mary Cales & Betty Jo Cales.

Survivors include five sons, Patrick Brandon & wife Delores of Hinton, Clinton Brandon & friend Debbie of Charleston, WV, Nathan Brandon & friend Mary of Chesterfield, VA, Mike Brandon & wife Linda of Hinton and Curt Brandon & wife Trish of Bourbon, IN. One sister, Ruth Lemon of Roanoke, VA. Sixteen grandchildren & fourteen great grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday March 16, 2008 at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel in Hinton with Mr. Brandon's grandson, Pastor Mark Brandon & Harry Pilkington officiating. Burial will follow in Restwood Memorial Gardens in Hinton. Friends may call from 6 until 8 p.m. Saturday evening at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, grandsons-in-law & Derrick Leslie.
